2ND ANNIVERSARY: YOU'VE CAPTAINED THE FIRST HALF EXCELLENTLY, EKITI SPEAKER APPLAUDS GOVERNOR OYEBANJI

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye has congratulated  Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for successfully leading the Ekiti governance team for two years. 

Aribasoye in a press release noted that the Oyebanji administration has raised the bar of excellence with significant and outstanding improvements on the achievements of the first year.

He described Governor Oyebanji's focus and  commitment to achieving the set goals of the administration as unparalleled noting that he has captained well up till this first half of his first tenure.

"I salute captain Oyebanji , our governor for coordinating the team under him till this point of indisputable excellence and awesome performances. The team has recorded numerous victories acknowledged nationwide and beyond. His positive handwriting is visible in all sectors in the state" The speaker stated.

Commending Oyebanji for being a rallying point in the state, Aribasoye highlighted the positive submissions of stakeholders and key players including the senior citizens, civil servants and  top figures in the opposition camp stressing that the Governor's strategy is a productive one.  

The Speaker pointed out that Governor Oyebanji has prioritized the welfare and aspirations of Ekiti people with tangible investments in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture,job creation and workers' welfare including the recent expression of readiness to pay the 70 thousand naira minimum wage, setting the tone for a better life for all.

According to Rt. Hon. Aribasoye, the Governor Abayomi Oyebanji administration has shown commendable dedication to empowering the youth of Ekiti State  by creating initiatives and platforms for their active participation.

The speaker acknowledged the results produced by the support the governor has given the legislature adding that "your support has catalyzed significant transformations, including the ongoing remodeling of our complex and the ambitious digitalization efforts that have set a benchmark for governance in Nigeria. 

He added that "It is no exaggeration to say that under your stewardship, we have been recognized as the best State House of Assembly in ICT integration, while Ekiti has emerged as a leader in transparency and accountability in public finance."

Aribasoye also applauded the disposition of the governor to public accountability.

"Both in audible and body language, Mr. Governor has not shown any reservation for the account of stewardship the house has been taking from heads of local councils, MDAs and institutions. Similarly he has never attempted to gag the lawmakers in the performance of our constitutional duties. This is the secret of the executive- legislature harmony that reigns supreme in Ekiti state. " Aribasoye affirmed. 

While congratulating the governor on the celebration, the speaker assured that the house will not relent in propping the administration up, ensuring necessary checks and bringing up constructive corrections in the interest of Ekiti people.
