The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has celebrated the State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, on the Good Governance Award conferred on him by Vanguard Newspaper.
In a press statement signed by his media spokesperson, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker said it is no surprise that the governor bagged two top-notch awards within the space of weeks, attributing the honours to his commitment to excellence in governance.
According to Aribasoye, “Governor Biodun Oyebanji has been recognized for excellence, exemplary leadership, and good governance,” adding that the governor is blessed with the requisite wisdom and strategy to manage both leaders and the people of the state under his watch.
He charged Governor Oyebanji to sustain the tempo of performance and even do more, assuring him that the state legislature would always support him in the best interest of Ekiti State and its people.
He stated that the Personality of the Year Award by Vanguard Newspaper and the Silverbird Man of the Year Award recently given to Oyebanji stand as objective assessments of a performing leader, as against mere praise-singing without any concrete and cogent achievements.
The Ekiti Assembly helmsman affirmed that the House, under his leadership, would continue to complement the Oyebanji administration to implement all its people-driven agendas geared towards shared prosperity.
“The continued success of this administration is a win for the entire state, and we will, therefore, as lawmakers, play our roles as expected through effective legislation and consistent oversight,” Aribasoye stated.
