The leadership and members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have been commended by the State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for functioning as partners in progress.

The Assembly team, led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, was hosted to a dinner by the Governor and his wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, at the Government House, Oke Ayoba, in Ado Ekiti on Sunday.

Governor Oyebanji expressed admiration for the lawmakers and the legislative institution for working in accordance with the law and legislating responsibly in the interest of Ekiti State’s development.

He noted that the executive-legislature relationship in Ekiti State remains an enviable model across the country, showcasing how a legislature can maintain its independence while fostering cordial relations with the executive arm.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Speaker Aribasoye appreciated the Governor for hosting the Assembly team and creating a platform where critical issues could be addressed in an informal and open environment.
