...Speaker Aribasoye commends visit
The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, on Friday paid a visit to the Ekiti State House of Assembly as part of efforts to further strengthen the bond of harmony between the executive and legislative arms of government.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye accompanied the Governor on the visit which also provided the Governor the opportunity to inspect facilities within the legislative complex, particularly the ongoing grand remodelling of the Assembly premises.
The Speaker described the Governor’s presence as an affirmation of his respect for the legislature and his commitment to sustaining a productive partnership between the two arms of government in advancing the development of Ekiti State.
Governor Oyebanji expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the remodelled edifice, particularly the hallowed chamber, which he noted has now become a more pleasant and attractive space befitting of a state legislature.
The Governor also commended the Speaker for his vision and leadership in transforming the legislative arm into an institution that reflects pride, dignity and peace.
During the visit, the Governor was warmly received by the Clerk of the House, top management staff of the Assembly, as well as political aides in the Office of the Speaker.
