The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has described the award just conferred on the State Governor by Silverbird Communications as an affirmation of effective mandate delivery.
The Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, on Sunday, bagged the "Silverbird Man of the Year award", an honor hinged on his excellent leadership.
Aribasoye, in a press statement, congratulated the Governor on the feather added to his cap, which he said confirmed the prevalent assessment of Governor Oyebanji as a noiseless achiever and a leader committed to delivering the gains of democracy to his people.
"Your Excellency, you are no doubt a silent achiever, a consistent leader, a progressive-minded politician, and a man of the people. This award is an added laurel, and a well-deserved honor." Aribasoye noted.
Pitching Governor Oyebanji as an outstanding performer, Aribasoye highlighted the competency, proficiency, and impact of the governor, adding that the electorate made the right choice in electing Oyebanji to run the affairs of Ekiti State.
"This is another opportunity to tell the world that in Ekiti State, we have a rightly chosen governor who is a competent performer with a zest for excellence, recording giant strides in key sectors and leaving positive footprints across the State."
Underlining the place of responsible and responsive legislation in the overall success of any government, the Assembly helmsman noted that the cordiality between the Executive and the Legislature in Ekiti State has been exemplary.
"At the level of the legislature, we really enjoy working with our amiable governor. This mutual relationship has its own positive effects on the overall outlook of the administration. The continuous applause attracted by the Oyebanji administration cannot be detached from the maximum legislative support enjoyed by Mr. Governor." He affirmed.
The Ekiti Speaker prayed that more honors come the way of Governor Oyebanji, while asking God to continue to give the governor more wisdom and strength to forge ahead and lead the state to its promised land.
