RT HON JAMIU DISTRIBUTES FOOD ITEMS TO MUSLIMS AT RAMADAN
The immediate past Deputy Speaker in the Ekiti State and member presently representing Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency 2, Rt Hon Hakeem Jamiu has distributed food items to constituents to ease hardship in the holy month of Ramadan.
The food items was shared to Muslim brothers and sisters in the spirit of Ramadan just as he distributed food items to Christians during the Yuletide last December.
Rt Hon Hakeem Jamiu said he was aware of the economic hardship experienced across the country and has decided to contribute his own little quota to easing the pains, especially amongst the masses.
He reiterated his commitment to always remember the people at the grassroots by attending to their welfare apart from representing them well in the parliament through lawmaking and oversight functions.
He reiterated that his Ramadan gesture is to support what the Biodun Oyebanji administration is doing to ease the pain of the masses, especially in the area of providing food items to mitigate the present economic challenges.
Jamiu said: “Democracy is all about service to the people by ensuring the necessities of life receive the needed attention from elected office holders.
"I intend doing this to the best of my ability when the need arises to keep faith with my electoral declaration of avowed commitment to the welfare of my constituents."
